Image Inpainting
An AI editing technique where a selected area of an image is filled or replaced with AI-generated content that seamlessly blends with the surrounding image.
What is Image Inpainting?
Inpainting allows selective replacement of image areas — for example, changing a product's background while keeping the product itself intact, or adding or removing objects from a scene. In e-commerce, inpainting is used to change backgrounds, remove props, fix imperfections, or add elements to existing product photos. It's a more precise alternative to full image regeneration when only part of an image needs to change.
E-Commerce Relevance
Inpainting enables sellers to update specific parts of their product images — like swapping backgrounds or removing unwanted objects — without reshooting.
