RAW Photography

A camera file format that captures all sensor data without in-camera processing, giving photographers complete control over exposure, color, white balance, and sharpness in post-processing.

What is RAW Photography?

RAW files (CR2, NEF, ARW) contain all captured light data before any compression or processing. Unlike JPEGs (which apply sharpening, noise reduction, and color processing in-camera), RAWs give photographers the ability to correct exposure by 2–4 stops, adjust white balance precisely, recover highlight and shadow detail, and apply professional color grading in post. For product photography, shooting RAW is strongly recommended when color accuracy and image quality are critical.

E-Commerce Relevance

Shooting RAW for product photography enables superior color accuracy and exposure control — particularly important for color-critical products like fashion and cosmetics.
